Paws of Hope Colorado is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Greeley, Colorado, dedicated to supporting dog adoption, responsible rehoming, and animal welfare throughout the state.
We work with shelters, rescues, foster homes, and pet owners to help dogs find safe, loving homes while providing resources, community outreach, and support for animals in need. Through partnerships, donations, and volunteer efforts, we promote adoptable dogs, assist with rehoming, and help connect families with the right companions.
Our mission is simple: to improve the lives of dogs across Colorado by creating more opportunities for adoption, keeping pets out of overcrowded shelters whenever possible, and supporting the organizations and individuals working to make a difference.

Our Story
At Paws of Hope Colorado, we believe every dog deserves a safe place to land, a chance to heal, and a family to call their own. That belief is at the center of everything we do. Our journey began with a simple realization: shelters and rescues across Colorado were overwhelmed, under‑supported, and facing increasing numbers of dogs in need. We saw families struggling to rehome pets, shelters running low on supplies, and adoptable dogs waiting far too long for the right match. We knew we could help — and that’s how our story began.
Our founders witnessed firsthand the transformation that happens when a dog finally feels secure, loved, and understood. Seeing a frightened dog relax into a warm bed, watching a shy pup take their first confident steps, or celebrating the moment a dog meets their forever family — these experiences shaped our mission and inspired us to build a community dedicated to giving dogs the second chance they deserve.
Paws of Hope Colorado was created to be more than a rescue support organization. We are a network of compassionate people who believe in collaboration, education, and proactive care. We share practical resources, heartwarming stories, and clear guidance to make adoption and fostering approachable for everyone. Whether someone is ready to adopt, interested in fostering, or simply wants to support local shelters, we provide the tools, information, and encouragement they need to get involved.
Our work extends far beyond adoption promotion. We help rehome dogs before they enter shelters, reducing intake numbers and easing the burden on already crowded facilities. We offer supply support to shelters when resources are available, including food, treats, cleaning supplies, enrichment items, and other essentials. Through community events, fundraisers, and donation drives, we gather the supplies shelters rely on to continue their life‑saving work.
We also support no‑kill initiatives by helping shelters increase their adoption visibility, providing educational resources to potential adopters, and strengthening the community connections that make no‑kill goals possible. Every dog we promote, every supply drive we host, and every family we assist contributes to a larger mission: creating a future where fewer dogs enter shelters and more dogs find loving homes.
