Mission Statement – Paws of Hope Colorado

Paws of Hope Colorado is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal‑welfare organization based in Greeley, Colorado. We are dedicated to improving the lives of dogs and other companion animals by supporting shelters, rescues, foster networks, and families across the state. Our work focuses on providing essential supplies, promoting adoptable dogs, assisting with community outreach, and helping reduce the number of animals entering overcrowded shelters.

We started Paws of Hope Colorado with a simple but powerful purpose: to assist shelters and rescues in placing dogs, offer a reliable support system for organizations throughout Colorado, and build a network of like‑minded people who share our mission. Our goal is to help rehome dogs before they end up in shelters, reduce shelter intake numbers, assist shelters in finding placement for resident dogs, expand no‑kill options, and provide food, supplies, and resources to Colorado shelters whenever possible.

We operate entirely through donations, volunteer efforts, and community partnerships. Every contribution made under our tax‑exempt status directly supports animal care, rescue operations, and charitable programs that strengthen Colorado’s animal‑welfare community.

What We Do

Adoption Support

We help dogs find homes by promoting adoptable animals from shelters and rescues across Colorado. By sharing their stories, highlighting their personalities, and expanding their reach, we give each dog a better chance at finding the right family. We also assist adopters by providing guidance, education, and resources that help them understand the responsibilities of pet ownership.

Shelter Assistance

When available, we supply shelters and rescues with food, treats, cleaning supplies, enrichment items, and other essential resources. Many shelters operate with limited budgets, and our support helps ease the strain so they can focus on caring for the animals who need them most.

Community Outreach

We hold fundraisers, supply drives, and community events to collect food, supplies, and donations. These efforts allow us to support shelters statewide and raise awareness about responsible pet ownership, adoption, and the importance of no‑kill initiatives.

Rehoming Support

One of our core goals is to help families rehome dogs before they enter shelters. By offering guidance, networking assistance, and promotion, we help dogs transition safely into new homes without adding to shelter

overcrowding.
